You are the owner of a construction company that must navigate between legal, questionable, and corrupt contracts to build a business empire. Manage your resources wisely and leverage political connections to succeed in this cutthroat world of government contracting.

Objective


Reach $1,000,000 while building your empire. The game ends when you either:

  • ✅ Win: Reach $1,000,000
  • ❌ Lose: Go bankrupt (money reaches $0) or get investigated (suspicion reaches 100%)

Turn Structure


Each turn you must draw:

  • 2 Contracts - Your main source of income and reputation
  • 1 Character - Politicians who control contracts
  • 1 Event - Immediate effects that can help or hurt you

Primary Resources


  • 💰 Money: Starting amount $75,000 - Used for bribes, special actions, and contract requirements

Political Godfather


  • 🎭 Assigned randomly at the start of each game

Corrupt Contracts 🔴


  • Risk: 70-95% (high)
  • Rewards: Excellent ($60,000 - $120,000)
  • Requirements: Low reputation, high suspicion tolerance
  • Effects: Always give reputation when completed

Characters (Politicians)


  • Control contracts and determine their requirements
  • Have political relationships with different godfathers
  • Relationships affect contract risk:
    • Positive relationship: Reduces contract risk
    • Negative relationship: Increases contract risk

Events


  • Execute immediately when drawn
  • Three types:
    • Crisis: Negative effects (money loss, reputation loss, suspicion increase)
    • Opportunity: Positive effects (money gain, reputation increase)
    • Investigation: Triggers the investigator system

🎲 Core Mechanics


Dice System


  • 10-sided die determines contract success/failure
  • Risk percentage = minimum number needed on die
  • Example: 70% risk = need 7 or higher to succeed
  • Risk can go to 0% through very high political relationships
  • 0% risk contracts = guaranteed success, no dice needed

D20 Special Die (Shop Item)


  • Available in the in-game Shop for $50,000
  • 20-sided die result (1-20) is converted to success percentage (10% to 200%)
  • Using a D20 consumes one die from your inventory
  • Success rule with D20: contract succeeds if successPercentage > modifiedRisk
  • The D20 die icon appears in the contract modal when you have at least one in inventory

Coima Die (Shop Item)


  • Available in the in-game Shop for $25,000
  • 10-sided die reroll for the same contract; you can use as many as you have
  • Each failed coima roll increments an accumulated failure counter for that contract (coimaFailures)
  • On final contract failure, suspicion increases by the contract's base suspicion plus an extra base suspicion for each accumulated coima failure
  • On success, no coima penalty is applied; accumulated failures are cleared when the modal closes
  • The Coima die (💸) appears in the contract modal when you have at least one in inventory

Dice Locking (Anti-retry)


  • After the first roll (10-sided or D20) for a contract, those dice are disabled until the modal closes
  • Coima die is NOT locked; it can be used multiple times in the same contract while you have inventory
  • Investigation dice (10-sided) are also disabled after the first roll

Contract Execution


  1. Click contract to open execution modal
  2. Roll the die to determine success
  3. Immediate results - success or failure
  4. Apply effects based on outcome

Execution timing and bribes:

  • Contract effects (money/reputation/suspicion) and bribe cost are applied when the contract modal is closed after a roll result is determined
  • If bribery (Dar Tajada) was confirmed, 50% of the reward is charged at execution time

Shop & Inventory


  • Open Shop (🛒) to purchase special items
  • Items available:
    • Dado de 20 Caras (20-sided) — price $50,000
    • Dado Coima (10-sided reroll) — price $25,000
  • Purchases update UI live and are persisted
  • Open Inventory (🎒) to view quantities; contract modals show consumables when available (🎲 D20, 💸 Coima)

Political Godfather System


  • Randomly assigned at game start
  • Affects contract risk through political relationships
  • Formula: Each 10% relationship = 10% risk modification
  • Minimum risk: 0% (only through political relationships), Maximum risk: 99%
  • Special mechanic: Very high political relationships can eliminate contract risk completely

0% Risk System (New!)


  • Achievement: Contracts with 0% risk through political relationships
  • Requirement: Politicians with +80% or higher relationship with your godfather
  • Benefit: Guaranteed contract success without dice rolls
  • Strategy: Draw many characters to find politicians with strong connections
  • Trophy: Unlocks "Sin Dados Necesarios" achievement

🕵️ Investigator System


How It Works


  • Triggered by investigation events
  • Roll 10-sided die to determine which investigator takes your case
  • 10 unique investigators with different political relationships
  • Dice is locked after first roll during investigation

Bribable Investigators


  • Base bribe cost: $10,000
  • Cost modifiers based on your godfather's relationship:
    • Ally: 50% cost ($5,000)
    • Enemy: 200% cost ($20,000)
    • No relationship: 100% cost ($10,000)

Incorruptible Investigator


  • Angélica Ética: Cannot be bribed
  • Consequence: Suspicion increases to 99%
  • Solution: Use Public Relations to reduce suspicion
